New Tabletop Roleplaying Game Content Preparing to Dock

Toren Atkinson, lead singer of The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets, illustrator, and co-author of the RPG, is working on a new Spaceship Zero adventure for the game! The logline:

The super-intelligent cat, monkey and dog must team up with the robot to save the human crew from a surprise attack by the insidious hydronauts!

Recently Toren livestreamed the design of a new hydronaut vessel on his youtube channel

Also in the works is a redesign of the character sheet, as seen below. Toren took a lot of liberties with the skill section and we’re not sure how we feel about that! Probably it’s fine.

If you’re on Facebook you can keep up to date with the official Spaceship Zero page

And be sure to subscribe to Toren’s youtube channel and support him on Patreon

Spaceship Zero Radio Plays are in Fallout 4 Mod

What if I told you that you could listen to the Spaceship Zero Adventure Hour on your pip-boy radio in Fallout 4?

Thanks to the skills of John Peacock and Dave Johnson, the “Musicians Mod” adds a radio station in the town of Goodneighbor. Once you complete the quests, you can listen to the new radio station WSVR which includes (among many other bands) four brand new acoustic songs by The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets — the folks who brought us the Spaceship Zero Official Movie Soundtrack — as well as the Spaceship Zero radio plays. Plus lead singer Toren provides a number of voices, both on the radio and in the wasteland.

Check out this video to see what it’s all about and the cool features:

The mod is available for Xbox 1 and PC. PS4 gamers will have to wait a bit longer. Crawl out through the fallout and follow the links below!

Long Lost Spaceship Zero Adventure Hour Radio Plays Found!

Join SPACECORP!
Join SPACECORP!

Attention SpaceCorp cadets! Before the doomed film, before the German TV series, there was the American 1950’s radio serial, the Spaceship Zero Adventure Hour! For years, all of the episodes were thought to have been lost in the 1962 studio fire, but this year archivists have uncovered six full episodes with their original advertisements from sponsor Vit-O-Pep! This is wonderful news for all Spaceship Zero fans and enthusiasts of old time science fiction radio. Restoration specialists are currently preparing the episodes to be released for free to the internet before the year is out, but in the mean time we are pleased to tell you the names of the episodes:

Chapter 1: The Crew Assembles
Chapter 2: Into the Beyond
Chapter 3: The Cataclysmic Miscalculation
Chapter 4: Directive Beta Five
Chapter 6: Escape From the Hydronauts
Chapter 9: Twenty Minutes of Oxygen

Sadly, episodes 5, 7, 8, and 10 & up are still nowhere to be found, but maybe with this news there will be a renewed interest in finding them. Who knows, there may be old vinyl or reel to reel recordings in somebody’s basement or attic!

Stay tuned to spaceshipzero.com for updates – we will be posting the episodes here when they become available! And until then, remember to bllllllllllllllast off with Vit-O-Pep!
