Richard Corben, October 1940-December 2020
We mourn the passing of Richard Corben, who you may know from “Den” of Heavy Metal fame (the mag AND the film) was an artist well loved by the creative team behind Spaceship Zero. We were elated when we asked him to create some artwork for the Spaceship Zero interactive program on the CD. Here are the amazing results: a bat-being, hydronaut, and hydronaut hybrid in Spaceship Zero’s deconstitutor unit. Richard passed away after heart surgery. He was 80. What a loss to the comic and film industry and a tremendous legacy he has left to the art world.
